OUR MISSION
We’re two travelers who turned small obsessions into a travel blog that helps curious people see the world without wasting time or money.
Hi, I’m Fritz Meller, and this is Alex Schafer. We met in a crowded hostel common room, traded route tips over cheap coffee, and discovered we both have the same nervous energy: we can’t sit still when there’s a map to explore. Alex is the planner who reads five guidebooks before packing; I’m the improvisor who finds the offbeat bars and local recipes. Together we balance spreadsheets and spontaneity.
We started this blog because travel felt too often framed as either polished postcard or stressful logistics. Our goal is simple: practical, honest travel advice with personality. We write itineraries you can actually finish, packing lists that don’t overcomplicate, and local tips that save time and money. We test hotels, eat street food, and ride buses so you don’t have to learn things the hard way.
Our voice is casual and friendly. We highlight sustainable choices, respect for local cultures, and ways to travel thoughtfully on a budget. We believe travel is best when it’s shared — expect real photos (no staged stock shots), hands-on reviews, and stories about the people we meet along the way.
When we’re not writing, you’ll find Alex mapping routes on an old paper atlas while Fritz argues for one more detour. We live in Berlin but our hearts are always three time zones away. If you want to say hi, ask for a route, or invite us to your city, email info@imgworldadventurereview.blog
